Partnering with Schools
Working with schools is simple and designed to minimise disruption to learning. Once a school expresses interest, we work together to ensure the screening day runs smoothly.

1. Memorandum of Understanding (MOU)
We complete a simple Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) outlining the roles and responsibilities of both the school and the Lions Eye Health Programme.

2. Agree on a Screening Date
A mutually convenient date is selected, taking into account the school's timetable and available screening team.

3. The School Receives

Parent/Caregiver Information Flyer
Information explaining the purpose and process of the screening programme.

Consent Forms
Forms for parents and caregivers to complete prior to screening.

Qualified Volunteer Screening Team
Trained and police-vetted volunteers who provide the screening service free of charge.

Referral Information
Parents of children requiring further assessment receive a referral letter recommending a visit to an optometrist.

Ongoing Support
Our team is available to answer questions and assist throughout the process.
