Every child deserves the opportunity to learn, grow and thrive. Through our vision screening programme, we are helping identify children who may benefit from further assessment, ensuring they have the best possible chance to succeed both in and out of the classroom.
Our screenings are quick, child-friendly and completely free to schools and families.
Why It Matters
Many children do not realise they have a vision problem. Difficulties with eyesight can affect:
- Learning and academic achievement
- Reading and concentration
- Confidence and self-esteem
- Participation in sport and activities
- Social development and wellbeing
Research suggests that up to one in five children may have an undetected vision issue. Early identification can make a lifelong difference.
The Impact We Are Making
Through the support of volunteers, schools, Participating Clubs and sponsors, thousands of New Zealand children are being given the opportunity to reach their full potential.
